American Bittersweet - Both Sexes
Low maintenance, woody climber that lends a wild look to the garden. Clusters of fruit appear in fall. Tolerates partial shade. Male and femal flowers bloom on separate plants and are needed for fruit production. Quickly covers fences, arbors, trellises, posts and walls. As a groundcover it can hide rubble and tree stumps and controls erosion on slopes. All parts are POISONOUS. Foliage turns yellow in the fall.
